Helpful Information

Frequently Asked Questions

We believe in honest advice. If your shower is leaking or your grout is crumbling, here is what you need to know.

  • When should I regrout?

You should consider regrouting if you see discolouration, mould, or grout that is cracked, crumbling, or missing entirely.

  • Can you just put new grout over the old stuff?

No, we do not recommend this. To ensure the new grout adheres properly and lasts for years, the old grout must be removed first.

  • Will regrouting fix a leaking shower?

If the leak is caused by cracked or missing grout, our service will fix it. However, if the underlying waterproof membrane is damaged, regrouting alone may not be the solution.

  • How long does the process take?

A typical shower takes between 3 to 6 hours depending on the tile size and area.

  • When can I use my shower again?

For standard grout, you can use the shower after 24 hours. If we use epoxy grout, the curing time is 72 hours.

  • What products do you use?

We use various Ardex products tailored to your specific needs. These products come with a 10-year warranty.
